I’m not sure that I’ll always have something that’s awesome to read about, or that I’ll even be able to make posts daily, but I’ll try. I figure it shouldn’t be too hard, seeing as I check FGL, GMail, twitter, facebook– and every other service hourly.
As far as the game goes, I’ve just changed the minimalcomps color chooser to use this batch of swatches stolen from Flash CS4. Feel free to use this image!
Anyway, as soon as I get the rest of the User Interface working, and get it all linked to the editor functions, I’ll be in business. Wish me luck!
And then I came across Razor Components! It’s very lightweight and very sexy! Skinnable awesomeness.
I’m still probably going to stick with minimalcomps for my game, simply because it’s already in there, but in the future I may move to this. It has one hell of a sexy color picker!
OK, maybe it’s from lack of sleep… Maybe it’s because I’ve stayed up all night and morning reading from various indie development blogs. Whatever the reason, I gotta say that the indie game world is one amazing place.
I’ve recently come across some developers who’ve tried to document the Molehill source code visible in the Adobe videos just so we can get an early start. Such dedication! So awesome! From Flash to Unity, from browser, phone and even consoles… Everywhere I look I can find indie devs working hard on their game projects, and making money to boot! I never thought that anyone could be making money with these small 1-2 man game teams until I jumped into it myself.
